Attended the Coosa Central HS in Rockford, Alabama. Played college ball at Meridian Community College till 2001. Never drafted by an NBA team. Signed with the Mobile Revelers of the NBDL in 2001-02. Moved to the Dodge City Legend of the USBL later that season. Returned to the Mobile Revelers of the NBDL in 2002-03. Released in November. Joined the Huntsville Flight of the NBDL in 2003-04. Released in November. Returned to the team in January. Released again later that month. Moved to the Oklahoma Storm of the USBL and them to the Harlem Globetrotters. Signed with the Rockford Lightning of the CBA in 2004-05. Signed with the Kentucky Colonels of the ABA later that season. Left in May. Joined the Rome Gladiators of the WBA. Signed with the Albany Patrons of the CBA in December 2005. Signed with the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBADL in April 2006. Moved to the Marietta Storm of the WBA later that month. Signed with Fuerza Regia Monterrey (Mexico) in 2006. Returned to the Albany Patroons of the CBA in November 2006. The team later moved to the USBL. Signed with the Gary Steelheads of the USBL in May 2007. Returned to Fuerza Regia Monterrey (Mexico) later that year. Signed with the Toronto Raptors in July 2007. Won the WBA title with the Roma Gladiators in 2005. Named to the All-Tournament 3rd Team. Named to the All-WBA 4th Team. Named to the WBA All-Defensive Team. Selected to the CBA All-Star Game in 2006 and 2007. Named to the All-CBA 1st Team in 2007. Named CBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2007. Named to the All-USBL 1st Team in 2007. Named to the USBL All-Defensive Team in 2007. Selected to the NBA Rookie All-Star Game in 2008. Voted to the HoopsHype.com NBA All-Rookie 1st Team in 2007-08.
