  Not the biggest talent in the world, but a player that can make an impact thanks to his smartness, intensity and leadership... Can score, but is not a scoring machine... Can post up and shoot the ball from beyond the arc... Especially effective shooting from the corner... Tenacious defender... Quick hands... Decent rebounder... Great performer under pressure... Mediocre ballhandling skills... Not a great athlete.
Attended Country Day HS in Detroit, Michigan.
Played college ball at Duke until 2001.
Selected by the Memphis Grizzlies as 6th overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft. Played there till 2005-06.
Traded to the Houston Rockets in July 2006.
Won Naismith Award as nation's top high school player in 1997.
Received the Wooden and Naismith Awards as the National Player of the Year in 2001.
Named ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 1998-99, 1999-00 and in 2000-01.
Selected to the All-NCAA 1st Team in 2000-01 and to the All-NCAA 2nd Team in 1999-00.
Named the ACC Player of the Year in 2000-01.

Left college as Duke all-time leader in steals.
Named to the ACC 50th Anniversary Basketball Team.
Won the gold medal at the 2001 Goodwill Games with the US Team.
Named to the 2001 Rocky Mountain Revue 1st Team.
Selected to the NBA Rookie All-Star Game in 2002.
Voted to the NBA All-Rookie 1st Team in 2001-02.
Won the bronze medal at the World Championship with the US Team in 2006.
