Tony
Parker vs C. Billups
Bruce
Bowen vs R. Hamilton
Tony Parker can easily beat off the dribble pretty much anybody in
the league. Chauncey Billups could be one of the exceptions. Besides,
Billups is the better shooter of the two. |
If any player is able to keep Richard Hamilton from hitting all those
mid-range shots coming off screens, that's Bruce Bowen. Hamilton better
get ready for some mauling defensive tactics in this series. |

Emanuel
Ginobili vs T. Prince

T.
Duncan vs Rasheed Wallace
| When
Tayshaun Prince plays well, Detroit usually wins. But it's so hard
for a perimeter player to play well against San Antonio. Emanuel Ginobili
will make him work hard on both sides of the court. |
With
his length, quickness and athleticism, Rasheed Wallace can cause Tim
Duncan problems. But that's nothing compared with the problems Duncan
will cause Detroit on the other side of the court. |

N.
Mohammed vs Ben Wallace
R.
Horry vs Antonio McDyess
| Not
a key matchup. Nazr Mohammed doesn't play much of a role offensively
for the Spurs, so Defensive Player of the Year Ben Wallace can concentrate
on double-teaming Tim Duncan. |
As usual, Horry has played his best basketball in the playoffs. His
shooting and ability to guard several positions are great assets for
the Spurs. McDyess will bring scoring punch coming off the bench. |
